One-Year English Language Preparatory Course at Cracow University of Technology, Poland
This course is designed for students who:
- want to refresh and improve their English skills while obtaining a B2 certificate of completion for the language course,
- aim to continue developing their English proficiency and prepare for obtaining an internationally recognized certificate at the B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR*) to apply for undergraduate or graduate degree programs in English, either in Poland or abroad,
- have studied English for at least 100 hours, and their current English level is at least A2.

Course Details:
Course dates: 1 October 2025 – 30 June 2026
Tuition fee: EUR 3800 (the price does not include the cost of external exams and accommodation)
The course guarantees a total of 600 hours of classes, divided into 3 modules (with classes taking place 5 days a week), including:
- Highly qualified teaching staff – the course is led by teams of experienced teachers, including both Polish teachers and native speakers,
- Preparation for an internationally recognized exam – the course includes exam techniques and practice to help students prepare for a B2 level exam, ACERT B2 (included in the price)* and optionally telc B2* (about EUR 200)

- Course materials – participants are provided with all necessary course materials (textbooks and additional educational resources),
- Online learning components – the course includes components for independent study online,
- Regular feedback – students will receive regular feedback on their progress (quizzes, tests, and progress reports),
- English-taught technical lectures – students can attend technical lectures in English at Cracow University of Technology,
- Social program – a variety of social events and activities designed to enhance the learning experience.
Accommodation: Dormitory accommodation in double rooms is available at an additional cost of
PLN 620/month/place (limited number of places). Accepted students who were assigned places in the dormitory may check in between 25 September 2025 and 30 September 2025.

Documents needed for application form:
- Passport scan (page with the photo and personal data)
- High school graduation certificate/diploma or a bachelor diploma*
- If the applicant is under 18 years of age: a written notarial power of attorney to exercise legal guardianship over a minor to study. The document must contain the data of the parent / legal guardian (name, surname, passport or other identity document number). A minor must appear at Cracow University of Technology with his/her parent or an adult representative appointed by the parent in the written notarial power of attorney to exercise legal guardianship over a minor, who will sign documents related to education at Cracow University of Technology on the minor’s behalf.
- Sworn translation into Polish of all documents listed above
- The candidate’s „Karta Polaka” or Certificate of Polish origin issued by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland (applies only to candidates with Polish origin)
- Payment confirmation for the recruitment fee (50 EUR)
Current photograph (the photo should not be older than 6 months and show the whole head from shoulders up, without a hat, sunglasses or other object that would make it difficult to recognize the person. The face should cover 70-80% of the photo).

* If a candidate plans on applying for a first-cycle (undergraduate) program at a university in Poland after graduating from the English preparatory course, he/she needs to bring the following documents to Poland:
- Secondary education certificate / diploma and its sworn translation into the Polish language
- Legalization of the secondary education certificate / diploma
- Official Transcript of Records with a legend of marks and education system in the country of its issuance and its sworn translation into the Polish language
- Transcript of Records legalization
- Official certificate confirming that a candidate’s secondary school certificate / diploma allows him/her to apply for admission to first cycle (bachelor) studies in the country of its issuance.
If a candidate plans on applying for a second-cycle (graduate) program at a university in Poland after graduating from the English preparatory course, he/she needs to bring the following documents to Poland:
Official certificate confirming that a candidate’s bachelor diploma allows him/her to apply for admission to second-cycle (bachelor) studies in the country of its issuance.
